Robert’s Obituary
Robert Stanley Ames was born to the union of Harold and Ruth Ames on February 24, 1931, in the City of Buffalo, New York. Robert attended Kenmore Senior High (NY) where he graduated in 1948. He attended U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1957. Then he stay at U.S. Naval Reserve from 1959 to 1992 as he was retired as Commander.
While Robert served U.S.N., he married Mary E. Davison in March 13, 1951 in Canal Zone, Panama. Together they had three children Donald, Sally and Harold and grandchildren Anthony Evans of Buffalo, NY, Nicole Ames of Regina, Saskatchewan, Justin Ames of Regina, Saskatchewan, Noah Cho of Burke, VA, Daniel Ames of Burke, VA, Kelsa T. Ames of Bluff City, TN, 2 deceased Jesse Evans & Jason Ames and great grandchildren Javin & Jordan Ames of Regina, Saskatchewan, (Kelsa’s daughter’s name?). He now leaves them to cherish his love.
Robert also leaves to cherish his memory his brother Richard A. Ames of North Tonawanda, NY.
Robert’s great pleasure in life was to be part of many organizations. His memberships were Life member, National Rifle Assn, AZ State Rifle and Pistol Assn, Naval Reserve Assn., Kiwanis Club of Big Bug Creek (AZ), Life member, Sportsman’s Gun Club, Chief Hunter Education Instructor for AZ Game and Fish Dept from 1979 to 2002.
